SOMOJO MAGAZINE Review (March 2011)
Wow!!
This is an extremely beautiful and accomplished piece of art, and I say art because make no mistake, this
album is a work of art and the passion that this band have invested in this album is very very clear to
hear! A gothic, mediaeval rock masterpiece, from the playing, through the arrangements and structures,
to the exquisitely performed lead vocals to the hypnotic and rich, yet delicate harmonies and backing
vocals, often with a baroque sensibility.
The musicians in this band have their roots in quite a variety of genre’s that in theory should collide and
clash, and yet brought together in this project the sum of their parts is a tapestry of sound and majesty
that transcends all expectation.
For me the standout tracks on this album are the title track, and track two ‘Chiara La Napoletana’.
A fantastic and very rewarding journey through avenues of music that may be unmistakeably dark, yet
alight with a beauty and delicacy that is rare and should be cherished!
